Friesen finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Friesen defeated Liam Wachal (Winnipeg, MB) 7-6, then won 5-4 against Emerson Klimpke (Winnipeg, MB). Friesen went on to lose 8-1 against Jack Hykaway (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
