Mark Tolvstad (Mellette, SD) finished 1-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tolvstad lost 8-4 to Jeff Erickson (Proctor, MN), then responded with a 9-3 win over Gregory Hiemenz (Bismarck, ND). Tolvstad went on to lose 9-5 against Bob Leclair (Goodyear, AZ). Tolvstad lost 8-1 to Lyle Sieg (Blaine, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
