Morozumi finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi lost 5-4 to Paul Moffatt (Waterloo, ON), then responded with a 6-1 win over John Willsey (Waterloo, ON). Morozumi won 10-7 against Matthew Hall (Kitchener, ON), then won 7-3 against Sam Steep (St. Catherines, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Morozumi earned 26.940 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. Morozumi move up 9 spots after posting a net gain of 19.828 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 47th overall with 94.658 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
