Brunton finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brunton defeated Megan Balsdon (Woodstock, ON) 7-4, then went on to lose 7-2 against Theresa Breen (Halifax, NS). Brunton responded with a 5-4 win over Chrissy Cadorin (St. Thomas, ON). Brunton won 4-3 against Auld in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard Championship title, Brunton earned 35.937 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. Brunton move up 29 spots after posting a net gain of 34.487 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 61st overall with 70.351 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
