Hasselborg finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Laura Walker (Edmonton, AB) 6-5, then won 7-5 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON). Hasselborg went on to lose 6-5 against Tabitha Peterson (McFarland , USA). Hasselborg responded with a 6-4 win over Elena Stern (Oberwallis, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Meridian Canadian Open Championship title, Hasselborg earned 91.575 world rankings points along with the $35,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 42.954 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hasselborg ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 453.544 points earned so far this season.
