Jared Palanuik (Black Diamond, AB) finished 2-1 in the 20 team Rick Cotter Memorial Junior Mens Classic qualifying round, held October 18 - 20, 2019 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. In their opening game, Palanuik defeated Nolan Blaesar (British Columbia) 9-2, then won 8-7 against Erik Colwell (British Columbia). Palanuik went on to lose 8-3 against Brayden Carpenter (British Columbia) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 13 of the event schedule, Palanuik did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Palanuik ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
