Adams/Robichaud Reaches 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Tour Championship Quarters

Melissa Adams/Alex Robichaud (Fredericton, NB) qualified for the 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Tour Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-7 against Becca Wood/Shawn Banyai (Denver, CO).

Adams/Robichaud finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Adams/Robichaud defeated Lyndsey Wilson/Scott Dow (Palmerston, ON) 7-2, then won 7-4 against McKenna McGovern/Sam Steep (Forest, ON) and 11-10 against Anastasia Richards/Sammy Churchill (Burlington, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Adams/Robichaud earned 13.623 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Ontario Mixed Doubles Tour Championship, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 13.622 after improving upon their best so far this season. Adams/Robichaud ranks 57th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 39.488 points earned so far this season.
