To advance to the championship game, Birt won 7-2 over Nova Scotia's Tanya Hilliard in the semifinals of the 2019 Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and won 5-4 over Chenyi Wang (Beijing, CHN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada;
 
Birt finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Sharon Levesque (Fredericton, NB) 7-3, then won 7-6 against Sylvie Quillian (moncton, NB) and 7-4 against Wang. Birt won 8-1 against Karen Cousins (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, Birt take home 14.186 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, remaining in 28th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.868 after improving upon their best so far this season. Birt ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 126.156 points earned so far this season.
