Homan finished 9-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Jones 9-6, then won 10-5 against Erica Curtis (St. John's, NL). Homan went on to lose 9-8 against Suzanne Birt (Montague, PEI). Homan responded with a 9-7 win over Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC). Homan won 10-7 against Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS), then won 9-5 against Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) and 9-3 against Hailey Birnie (Whitehorse, YK). Homan won 9-4 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT), then won 8-4 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, CAN) and 9-4 against Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK). Homan went on to lose 9-6 against Einarson in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Homan take home 53.609 world rankings points along with the $65,000CDN prize.
