To advance to the championship game, Korte won 5-3 over Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2019 College Clean Restoration Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 1-0 over Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 College Clean Restoration Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Korte finished 4-0 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Korte defeated Steven Howard (Regina, SK) 5-4, then won 8-3 against Kirk Muyres (Saskatoon, SK) and 5-1 against Zou. Korte won 6-2 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
