Cotter finished 4-2 in the 22 team College Clean Restoration Curling Classic qualifying round, held November 29 - December 2, 2019 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. In their opening game, Cotter lost 6-2 to Kody Hartung (Langenburg, SK), then responded with a 8-3 win over Pengpeng Cao (Beijing, CHN). Cotter won 6-5 against Jason Jacobson (Saskatchewan). Cotter went on to lose 6-4 against Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK). Cotter responded with a 5-2 win over Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK). Cotter won 7-2 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
