Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) won 9-5 over Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Steele Cup Cash, held October 17 - 20, 2019 at the Capital Winter Curling Club in Fredericton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 7-5 over Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals
 
Jones finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Trevor Hanson (Oromocto, NB) 7-3, then won 7-2 against Mike Flannery (Fredericton, NB) and 7-3 against Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB). Jones went on to lose 8-4 against Murphy in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Steele Cup Cash Championship title, Jones earned 14.012 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque. Jones move up 15 spots after posting a net gain of 10.159 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 93rd overall with 44.836 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Jones ranks 100th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.012 points earned so far this season.
