CHAMPION: Campbell/Dunstone Wins 2020 Highland Mixed Doubles Classic

Jolene Campbell/Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) won 6-5 over Marlene Albrecht/Matt Wozniak (Zurich, SUI) in the Final of the Highland Mixed Doubles Classic, held February 14 - 16, 2020 at the Highland Curling Club in Regina, . To advance to the championship game, Campbell/Dunstone won 7-5 over Ashley Quick/Mike Armstrong (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2020 Highland Mixed Doubles Classic in Regina; and won 6-4 over Brittany Tran/Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2020 Highland Mixed Doubles Classic in Regina;

Campbell/Dunstone finished 3-1 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Campbell/Dunstone defeated Dorottya Palancsa/Zsolt Kiss (Budapest, HUN) 8-3, then won 7-3 against Jill de Gooijer/Garret Springer (Regina, SK). Campbell/Dunstone went on to lose 6-4 against Chaelynn Kitz/Brayden Stewart (Saskatoon, SK). Campbell/Dunstone responded with a 7-6 win over Quick/Armstrong in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Highland Mixed Doubles Classic Championship title, Campbell/Dunstone earned 39.364 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 30 of the event schedule, Campbell/Dunstone did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Campbell/Dunstone ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
