Molberg finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Molberg defeated Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) 12-5, then won 7-5 against Cole Ector (Edmonton, AB) and 7-4 against Libbus. Molberg won 5-4 against Cortland Sonnenberg (Sexsmith, AB). Molberg went on to lose 8-5 against Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB). Molberg lost 8-7 to Jared Palanuik (Airdrie, AB) where Molberg responded with a 10-5 win over Max Kobylnyk (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
