Sergio Vez (Txuri-Berri, ESP) won 11-3 over Jose Maria Hernandez Berenguer (l'Olla, ESP) in the Final of the Spanish Mens National Championship, held February 21 - March 8, 2020 in Jaca, Spain. To advance to the championship game, Vez won 9-3 over Marti Alonso (Val d'Aran, ESP) in the semifinals of the 2020 Spanish Mens National Championship in Jaca, Spain;

Vez finished 8-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vez defeated Llorenc Aparicio (Barcelona, ESP) 10-1, then won 10-2 against Ignacio Galdeano (Pisuerga, ESP) and 10-1 against Angel Garcia A. (Madrid, ESP). Vez won 8-2 against Xavier Campos (Puigcerda, ESP), then won 10-3 against Maximo Calvo (Harrikada, ESP) and 16-1 against Raul Garcia G. (Pisuerga, ESP). Vez went on to lose 6-5 against Gontzal Garcia (Iparpolo, ESP). Vez responded with a 8-2 win over Hernandez Berenguer. Vez won 6-3 against Alonso in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Spanish Mens National Championship Championship title, Vez earned 15.284 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Vez did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Vez ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
