Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) won 7-3 over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Tim Hortons Brier, held February 29 - March 8, 2020 in Kingston, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Gushue won 7-6 over Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier in Kingston, Ontario;
 
Gushue finished 8-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Jason Gunnlaugson (Morris, MB) 8-4, then won 5-2 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Gushue went on to lose 3-2 against Bottcher. Gushue responded with a 7-6 win over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT). Gushue won 7-3 against Jake Higgs (Iqaluit, NU), then won 11-8 against Bryan Cochrane (Cornwall, PEI) and 10-4 against Alek Bedard (Lacolle, QC). Gushue won 7-4 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN). Gushue went on to lose 8-4 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Gushue responded with a 5-3 win over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Gushue went on to lose 6-5 against Dunstone in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tim Hortons Brier Championship title, Gushue earned 85.928 world rankings points along with the $105,000CDN first prize cheque. Gushue move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 74.903 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 395.747 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Gushue ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 395.747 points earned so far this season.
