Paterson responded with a 7-2 win over Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Paterson won 7-5 against Andrew Reed (Kent, ENG). Paterson went on to lose 8-3 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI). Paterson lost 7-3 to Edin in their final qualifying round match.

With their third place finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Paterson earn 36.216 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 384.501 total points. Paterson ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 177.608 points earned so far this season.
