Veerle Geerinckx (Zemst, BEL) finished 2-4 in the 28-team qualifying round. . Geerinckx went on to lose 7-3 against Iulia Traila (Bucharest, ROU). Geerinckx lost 9-0 to Dilsat Yildiz (Eruzurum, TUR). Geerinckx lost 8-7 to Ireland's Alison Fyfe where Geerinckx responded with a 7-6 win over Karrie Alaqel (Riyadh, KSA) in their final qualifying round match.

Geerinckx earned 2.210 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 2.210 total points. Geerinckx ranks 204th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.210 points earned so far this season.
