Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Nagano, JPN) won 4-2 over Junpei Kanda (Tokyo, JPN) in the Final of the Keijinkai Rizing Cup, held January 11 - 13, 2020 in Miyota, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Yamaguchi won 6-3 over Tomoya Watanabe (Tokyo, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2020 Keijinkai Rizing Cup in Miyota, Japan;
 
Yamaguchi finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yamaguchi defeated Hiroki Yoshioka (Okayama, JPN) 7-3, then won 7-3 against Michio Hatano (Chiba, JPN) and 11-3 against Hiromitsu Kuriyama (Tokyo, JPN). Yamaguchi won 4-3 against Tomoji Arai (Tokyo, JPN), then won 5-1 against Takuya Ishikawa (Tokyo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Keijinkai Rizing Cup Championship title, Yamaguchi earned 11.373 world rankings points along with the $5,934CDN first prize cheque. Yamaguchi move up 7 spots after posting a net gain of 3.966 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 39th overall with 105.718 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Yamaguchi ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 102.627 points earned so far this season.
