Rob Johnson (Calgary, AB) finished 5-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Johnson defeated Jamie Cochrane (Calgary, AB) 8-2, then went on to lose 8-4 against Rick Phillips (Red Deer, AB). Johnson responded with a 9-5 win over Trevor Funk (Medicine Hat, AB). Johnson won 8-2 against Phillips, then won 5-4 against Carter Lautner (Calgary, AB) and 7-4 against Chad Dahlseide (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup Provincial Qualifier, Johnson take home 10.656 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Johnson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Johnson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
