Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferris defeated Mark Kean (London, ON) 9-4, then went on to lose 7-5 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Ferris lost 10-4 to Matthew Hall (Kitchener, ON) where Ferris responded with a 9-8 win over Jason Camm (Ottawa, ON). Ferris went on to lose 10-7 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene , ON). Ferris responded with a 7-3 win over John Willsey (Waterloo, ON). Ferris went on to lose 7-3 against Steve Allen (Ottawa, ON). Ferris lost 9-4 to Scott McDonald (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Ferris earned 3.426 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 29th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.082 after improving upon their best so far this season. Ferris ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 126.750 points earned so far this season.
