Hanson went on to lose 8-3 against Rene Comeau (Saint John, NB). Hanson responded with a 10-4 win over Christopher McCann (Fredericton Junction, NB). Hanson won 6-5 against Konefal in their final qualifying round match.
Hanson earned 3.803 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the New Brunswick Tankard Prelims. For week 25 of the event schedule, Hanson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
