James Craik (Forfar, SCO) won 5-3 over Hamish Gallacher (Dumfries, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, held January 22 - 26, 2020 at the Curl Aberdeen in Aberdeen, Scotland.
 
Craik finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Craik defeated Ross Craik (Forfar, SCO) 8-3, then won 9-3 against Jacob Holder (Moray, SCO) and 9-2 against Bill Turner (Dumfries, SCO). Craik won 5-3 against Gallacher, then won 5-4 against Callum Kinnear (Perth, SCO) and 11-3 against Gavin Cameron (Moray, SCO). Craik went on to lose 9-6 against Orrin Carson (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Scottish Curling Junior Championships Championship title, Craik earned 10.688 world rankings points. For week 27 of the event schedule, Craik did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Craik ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
