In their opening game, Tardi lost 7-6 to Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN), then responded with a 8-1 win over Zachary Wasylik (Winnipeg, MB). Tardi won 6-3 against Jacques Gauthier (Winnipeg, MB), then won 8-2 against Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) to advance to a B-Qualifier game where they lost 6-5 against Luc Violette (Chaska, MN) to drop into a C-Qualifier game where they lost 6-1 to Casper in their final qualifying round match.
Tardi earned 6.269 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. Tardi move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 16.73 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 21st overall with 166.514 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
