Peterman/Gallant finished 4-1 in the 36-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterman/Gallant defeated Jennifer Sashkiw/Shane Coutis (Banff, AB) 10-1, then won 7-2 against Emilie Desjardins/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC). Peterman/Gallant went on to lose 7-6 against Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS). Peterman/Gallant responded with a 7-3 win over Sherry Just/Ryan Deis (Prince Albert, SK). Peterman/Gallant won 5-3 against Clancy Grandy/Patrick Janssen (Pickering, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
