Steve Laycock (Vernon, BC) qualified for the 2020 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2020 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada;

Laycock finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laycock defeated McEwen 8-4, then won 9-3 against Wylie Eden (Kelowna, BC). Laycock went on to lose 7-4 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Laycock responded with a 7-2 win over Sebastien Robillard (Maple Ridge, BC). Laycock went on to lose 8-7 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
