To advance to the championship game, Aitken won 8-5 over Maggie Wilson (Aberdeen, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2021 British Curling NCA January Challenge in Stirling, Scotland;
 
Aitken finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Aitken defeated Fay Henderson (Stirling, SCO) 1-0, then won 8-4 against Wilson. Aitken went on to lose 10-7 against Muirhead. Aitken responded with a 7-6 win over Beth Farmer (Kinross, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
