To advance to the championship game, Manuel won 8-7 over Jack Smeltzer (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2021 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick; and won 8-4 over Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick;
Manuel finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Manuel lost 9-0 to Smeltzer, then responded with a 5-4 win over Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). Manuel won 8-3 against Grattan. Manuel went on to lose 6-4 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Superstore Monctonian Challenge, Manuel take home 13.548 world rankings points along with the $1,850CDN prize, moving up 35 spots the World Ranking Standings into 87th place overall with 36.046 total points. Manuel ranks 58th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 26.725 points earned so far this season.
