Koe finished 5-2 in the 24 team IG Wealth Management Western Showdown qualifying round, held October 8 - 11 at the Swift Current Curling Club in Swift Current, Canada. In their opening game, Koe defeated Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) 7-5, then went on to lose 8-7 against Tyler Tardi (Surrey, BC). Koe responded with a 8-6 win over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK). Koe went on to lose 4-3 against Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Koe responded with a 5-3 win over Shaun Meachem (Swift Current, SK). Koe won 6-2 against SooHyuk Kim (Gyeongbuk, KOR), then won 6-4 against Jacobson in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the IG Wealth Management Western Showdown Championship title, Koe earned 61.758 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 11 of the event schedule, Koe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Koe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
