Mooibroek finished 3-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Shane Latimer (Ajax, ON) 9-3, then won 8-4 against Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON). Mooibroek went on to lose 6-5 against Alex Champ (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Mooibroek responded with a 7-3 win over Sam Steep (Seaforth, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic Championship title, Mooibroek earned 21.512 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque.
