To advance to the championship game, Carss won 5-3 over Ben Gamble (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2021 Craven SPORTS Services Curling Classic in Martensville, Saskatchewan; and won 7-5 over Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Craven SPORTS Services Curling Classic in Martensville, Saskatchewan;
 
Carss finished 3-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carss defeated Cody Sutherland (North Battleford, SK) 8-6, then went on to lose 7-5 against Gamble. Carss responded with a 9-4 win over Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK). Carss won 7-2 against Logan Ede (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Craven SPORTS Services Curling Classic, Carss take home 10.432 world rankings points along with the $1,130CDN prize, moving up 52 spots the World Ranking Standings into 111th place overall with 19.172 total points. Carss ranks 56th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.432 points earned so far this season.
