In their opening game, Ohio's Jared Kies lost 9-5 to California's Adam Blacksher, droppimg another game, 8-7 to Minnesota's Edric Funk where Ohio's Jared Kies responded with a 8-2 win over Massachusetts's Brendan Hurd. Ohio's Jared Kies went on to lose 7-5 against Wisconsin's Daniel Bliven. Ohio's Jared Kies responded with a 8-5 win over North Carolina's Nick Miles in their final qualifying round match.
