Sam Steep (KW, ON) lost 8-5 to Michael Fournier (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 22 - 25, 2022 at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Steep won 6-5 over Mark Kean (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-5 over Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
 
Steep finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Steep defeated Colton Daly (Georgetown, ON) 6-1, then went on to lose 9-7 against Fournier. Steep responded with a 8-2 win over Alex Champ (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Steep went on to lose 7-2 against Kean in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the KW Fall Classic, Steep take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $1,950CDN prize. For week 8 of the event schedule, Steep did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Steep ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
