Jay Merchant (Melbourne, AUS) finished 2-5 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Merchant lost 6-5 to Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL), then responded with a 6-5 win over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN). Merchant went on to lose 9-4 against Chinese Taipei's Randie Shen. Merchant responded with a 10-2 win over Marcelo Mello (Sao Paolo, BRA). Merchant went on to lose 11-5 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Merchant lost 8-3 to Korey Dropkin (Duluth, USA). Merchant lost 9-4 to ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Merchant earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 14 of the event schedule, Merchant did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Merchant ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
