JaeBeom Lee (Kyungil, KOR) finished 3-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lee lost 12-4 to Jeongmin Kim (Gyeonggido, KOR), droppimg another game, 7-6 to ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR). Lee lost 8-7 to Minjun Kang (Seoul, KOR) where Lee responded with a 6-3 win over Chang-Min Kim (Gyeongbuk, KOR). Lee went on to lose 7-1 against Yeongseok Jeong (Gangwo, KOR). Lee responded with a 9-7 win over Junhwa Lee (Uiseong, KOR). Lee won 6-2 against Woojin Yang (Uijeongbu, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Lee earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 1 of the event schedule, Lee did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Lee ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
