To advance to the championship game, Sturmay won 10-5 over Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals
 
Sturmay finished 2-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Nicholas Deagle (Bridgewater, NS) 7-2, then won 5-2 against Jones in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the PointsBet Capital Winter Club Repechage Championship title, Sturmay earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 20th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 6 after improving upon their best so far this season. Sturmay ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 43.500 points earned so far this season.
