In their opening game, Farnell defeated Lydia Valles (San-Sebastian, ESP) 10-2, then went on to lose 9-8 against Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU). Farnell lost 7-6 to Marie Kaldvee (Tallinn, EST). Farnell lost 13-4 to Caro van Oosterwyck (Zemst, BEL). Farnell lost 11-4 to Alzbeta Zelingrova (Prague, CZE) where Farnell responded with a 7-6 win over Gabriela Kajanova (Bratislava, SVK). Farnell went on to lose 10-3 against Miia Ahrenberg (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Farnell responded with a 7-5 win over Marijke Reitsma (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Farnell won 8-6 against Kajanova in their final qualifying round match.
Farnell earned 4.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Farnell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Farnell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
