Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) won 6-5 over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) in the Final of the Aberdeen International Curling Championship, held March 16 - 19, 2023 in Aberdeen, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Whyte won 3-2 over Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals of the Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland; and won 8-2 over Kapp in the quarterfinals. of the Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;
 
Whyte finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte defeated Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) 6-1, then won 9-5 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) and 5-4 against Ross Craik (Stirling, SCO). Whyte won 7-1 against Waddell in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Aberdeen International Curling Championship Championship title, Whyte earned 37.500 world rankings points along with the $4,188CDN first prize cheque. Whyte move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 21 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 10th overall with 225.875 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Whyte ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 225.875 points earned so far this season.
