Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) won 6-3 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup, held February 7 - 11 in Hinton, Alberta.

Sluchinski finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sluchinski defeated Andrew Dunbar (Edmonton, AB) 8-1, then went on to lose 8-2 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Sluchinski responded with a 7-2 win over Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB). Sluchinski won 8-6 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 7-6 against Sturmay to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup Championship title, Sluchinski earned 22.500 world rankings points. Sluchinski move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 15 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 14th overall with 162.750 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
