Dylan Derksen (Martensville, SK) lost 8-2 to Matthew Drewitz (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Saskatchewan U20 Junior Provincials, held February 21 - 25 at the Twin Rivers Curling Club in North Battleford, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Derksen won 7-3 over Lane Zuravloff (Yorkton, SK) in the semifinals of the Saskatchewan U20 Junior Provincials in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Derksen finished 5-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Derksen defeated Zuravloff 8-2, then won 9-6 against Ethan Jones (Regina, SK) and 8-1 against Dayne Heisler (Moose Jaw, SK). Derksen won 10-6 against Rogan Snow (Saskatoon, SK). Derksen went on to lose 8-5 against Drewitz. Derksen responded with a 8-5 win over Drewitz in their final qualifying round match.
