Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS) lost 7-6 to Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships , held March 24 - 31 in Fort McMurray, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, MacIsaac won 7-5 over Dylan Derksen (Martensville, SK) in the semifinals of the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships in Fort McMurray, Alberta; and won 8-4 over Parker Tipple (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals. of the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships in Fort McMurray, Alberta;
MacIsaac finished 5-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacIsaac lost 7-6 to Wipf, droppimg another game, 6-5 to Timothy Marin (Sherwood Park, AB) where MacIsaac responded with a 7-5 win over Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NO). MacIsaac won 11-5 against Ian Deschene (Sudbury, NO), then won 8-5 against Jack MacFayden (Summerside, PEI). MacIsaac went on to lose 7-2 against Kibo Mulima (Guelph, ON). MacIsaac responded with a 8-2 win over Jace Freeman (Virden, MB). MacIsaac won 8-5 against Alex Duncan-Wu (Salmon Arm, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships Championship title, MacIsaac earned 5.500 world rankings points, moving up 77 spots the World Ranking Standings into 165th place overall with 10.000 total points. MacIsaac ranks 165th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.000 points earned so far this season.
