Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, MB) lost 6-3 to Eun ji Gim (Gyeonggido, KOR) in the Final of the Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Women's Major, held September 19 - 22 at the Beaumont Curling Club in Beaumont, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Cameron won 5-4 over Rui Wang (Beijing, CHN) in the semifinals of the Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Women's Major in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-5 over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Women's Major in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada;
Cameron finished 4-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cameron defeated Heather Steele (Edmonton, AB) 8-0, then went on to lose 8-4 against Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN). Cameron responded with a 8-3 win over Yujie Zhang (Beijing, CHN). Cameron won 8-5 against Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN), then won 6-5 against Robyn Silvernagle (Sexsmith, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Women's Major, Cameron take home 19.250 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize. For week 8 of the event schedule, Cameron did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cameron ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
