Matthew Lannoye (Poynette, WI) lost 8-5 to Caden Hebert (Eau Claire, WI) in the Final of the USA Curling Junior National Championships, held April 1 - 6, 2025 at the Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, United States. To advance to the championship game, Lannoye won 7-5 over Ryan Church (Nashua, NH) in the semifinals of the 2025 USA Curling Junior National Championships in Wayland, Massachusetts, United States;
Lannoye finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lannoye lost 6-5 to Mason Guentzel (Chaska, MN), droppimg another game, 10-2 to Hebert where Lannoye responded with a 8-6 win over Church. Lannoye won 10-6 against Caiden Rose (Denver, CO), then won 6-5 against Zachary Brenden (Bismarck, ND) and 6-5 against Austin Kadlec (Rice Lake, WI). Lannoye won 6-4 against Carson McMullin (Eau Claire, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the USA Curling Junior National Championships, Lannoye take home 2.750 world rankings points, moving up 102 spots the World Ranking Standings into 229th place overall with 3.875 total points. Lannoye ranks 226th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.875 points earned so far this season.
