Heidt finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heidt defeated Jared Tessier (Saskatoon, SK) 6-3, then went on to lose 7-0 against Garret Springer (Regina, SK). Heidt responded with a 7-3 win over Bradley Moser (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
