Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB) lost 9-4 to Connor Deane (New Westminster, BC) in the Final of the SGI Canada Best of the West, held April 24 - 27, 2025 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Libbus won 6-1 over Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the championship game. of the 2025 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Libbus finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Libbus lost 5-3 to Josh Bryden (Regina, SK), then responded with a 8-0 win over Alex Duncan-Wu (New Westminster, BC). Libbus won 6-5 against Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB), then won 9-8 against Jace Freeman (Virden, MB) and 9-3 against McDonald in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the SGI Canada Best of the West, Libbus take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize. Libbus move up 9 spots after posting a net gain of 12.25 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 54th overall with 64.375 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
