Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) lost 8-2 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Co-op Tour Challenge, held October 14 - 19 in Nisku, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 7-3 over Xenia Schwaller (Zurich, SUI) in the semifinals of the Co-op Tour Challenge in Nisku, Alberta; and won 9-4 over Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the quarterfinals.
Tirinzoni finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) 9-4, then won 9-2 against Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR) and 7-3 against Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN). Tirinzoni won 8-3 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Co-op Tour Challenge, Tirinzoni take home 55.000 world rankings points along with the $34,000CDN prize, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 22 after improving upon their best so far this season. Tirinzoni ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 148.500 points earned so far this season.
