Cihlarova/Macek Runner-Up at 2025 Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy

Klara Cihlarova/Tomas Macek (Prague, CZE) lost 9-8 to Pia-Lisa Schoell/Joshua Sutor (Oberstdorf, GER) in the Final of the Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy, held April 4 - 6, 2025 at the Curling Arena Roztyly in Prague, Czechia. To advance to the championship game, Cihlarova/Macek won 8-6 over Julie Zelingrova/Vitek Chabicovsky (Prague, CZE) in the semifinals of the 2025 Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy in Prague, Czechia; and won 8-4 over Sofie Krupickova/Ondrej Blaha (Prague, CZE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2025 Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy in Prague, Czechia;

Cihlarova/Macek finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cihlarova/Macek defeated Burcu Hasil/Muhammed Taha Zenit (Erzurum, TUR) 6-5, then went on to lose 9-3 against Schoell/Sutor. Cihlarova/Macek lost 8-5 to Zelingrova/Chabicovsky where Cihlarova/Macek responded with a 9-6 win over Linda Joo/Raul Karasz (Budapest, HUN). Cihlarova/Macek won 8-2 against Ema Kosakova/Tobias Votava (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy, Cihlarova/Macek take home 5.500 world rankings points along with the $800CDN prize. For week 36 of the event schedule, Cihlarova/Macek did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 216th place on the World Ranking Standings with 4.126 total points. Cihlarova/Macek ranks 215th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.126 points earned so far this season.
