Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) won 10-6 over Kayla Wilson (Kamloops, BC) in the Final of the King Cash Spiel, held October 16 - 19 at the Golden Ears Curling Club in Maple Ridge, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kitazawa won 7-4 over British Columbia's Layna Pohlod in the semifinals of the King Cash Spiel in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada;

Kitazawa finished 3-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitazawa defeated Elyssa Bingham (New Westminster, BC) 10-3, then won 8-0 against Shiella Cowan (New Westminster, BC). Kitazawa went on to lose 5-4 against Wilson. Kitazawa responded with a 10-7 win over Cowan in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the King Cash Spiel Championship title, Kitazawa earned 9.750 world rankings points along with the $3,600CDN first prize cheque. For week 13 of the event schedule, Kitazawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 13th place on the World Ranking Standings with 191.719 total points. Kitazawa ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 83.750 points earned so far this season.
