Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, MB) lost 6-4 to Lisa McLeod (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the MCT Curling Cup, held October 17 - 19 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Cameron won 10-1 over Manitoba's Shae Bevan in the semifinals of the MCT Curling Cup in Winnipeg, Manitoba;
Cameron finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cameron lost 7-6 to Manitoba's Shae Bevan, then responded with a 6-4 win over Sarah-Jane Sass (Winnipeg, MB). Cameron won 9-4 against Rachel Kaatz (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the MCT Curling Cup, Cameron take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN prize. For week 13 of the event schedule, Cameron did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 18th to 19th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 154.458 total points. Cameron ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 55.250 points earned so far this season.
