To advance to the championship game, Springer/Springer won 8-7 over Heidi Holt/Zachary Brenden (Bismarck, ND) in the semifinals of the Curling Stadium Martensville Mixed Doubles in Martensville, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 5-3 over Sarah Hoag/James Gordon (Martensville, SK) in the quarterfinals.

Springer/Springer finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Springer/Springer defeated Hartwell/Borkovic 7-2, then won 9-2 against Alex Ashton/Logan Ede (Saskatoon, SK) and 7-2 against Holt/Brenden. Springer/Springer won 8-4 against Sherry Just/Kyle Cherpin (Prince Albert, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
